Our process

how we achieve award winning results
01

Inspection and Assessment

We begin by assessing the upholstery to identify stains, soiling levels, and any areas requiring extra attention. This allows us to tailor our cleaning approach to achieve the best possible results.

02

Vacuuming and Dry Brushing

A thorough vacuuming removes loose dirt, dust, and debris from seats, carpets, and mats. We also use soft detailing brushes to lift embedded particles from fabric fibres, ensuring a deeper clean.

03

Pre-Treatment of Stains and Heavy Soiling

Any visible stains, such as food spills, mud, or drink marks, are pre-treated with specialist stain removers. This breaks down stubborn residues, making them easier to extract during the deep cleaning process.

04

Deep Shampoo Extraction

Using a professional-grade upholstery shampoo and hot water extraction machine, we deep clean the fabric to remove ingrained dirt, bacteria, and odour-causing residues. The extraction process lifts grime from deep within the fibres, restoring the upholstery to a fresh and hygienic condition.

05

Drying and Final Inspection

Once the cleaning is complete, we accelerate the drying process using air movers or microfiber towels. A final inspection ensures all treated areas are fully cleaned, and any remaining marks receive additional attention.

06

Finishing Touches and Aftercare Advice

To help maintain the results, we provide aftercare guidance on keeping upholstery clean and preventing future stains. If desired, we can also apply an optional upholstery protection treatment to repel spills and make future cleaning easier.

Our car upholstery cleaning service restores tired, stained interiors, leaving fabrics fresh, odour-free, and looking as good as new. Whether you need a routine refresh or a deep clean for heavily soiled seats, we provide a professional solution that brings new life to your vehicle’s interior.

Common questions about car upholstery cleaning

How do you clean car upholstery and seats?

We vacuum the whole interior first, then shampoo and agitate the fabric to lift dirt out of the weave rather than just cleaning the surface. The seats, carpets and mats are then extracted with hot water, which pulls the shampoo and the suspended grime out instead of leaving it behind. Everything is dried properly afterwards so nothing is left damp.

Can you remove stains and marks from car seats?

In most cases, yes. Food and drink spills, mud, pet marks and general day to day grime respond well to shampooing and extraction. Some marks are permanent, for example ink, dye transfer, bleach damage and old burns. We will tell you honestly what we expect to lift before we start, and we would rather say a stain will not come out than promise something we cannot deliver.

What is the difference between a valet and an upholstery shampoo?

A standard valet cleans and vacuums the interior. An upholstery shampoo goes further: the fabric is washed rather than wiped, and the dirt is extracted out of the seats and carpets with water. It is the right choice when the interior needs a genuine deep clean rather than a tidy up.

Do you clean car seats in place, or take them out?

The seats stay in the car for a standard upholstery shampoo, which is how nearly every customer has it done. If you need something more involved, for example seats out for a full deep clean, mention it when you enquire and we will confirm whether it is something we can do for your car.

Do you use a wet or dry process?

Wet. We shampoo the fabric and then extract it with hot water, which is what actually removes the dirt rather than moving it around. Drying the interior is part of the job, so there is no damp smell left behind afterwards.

Can you clean leather seats too?

Fabric is what a shampoo is designed for. Leather is a different job and needs cleaning and conditioning products made for it, which we also offer. Tell us what your interior has when you enquire and we will book the right service.

How long does an upholstery shampoo take, and do you come to me?

Most cars take around two hours depending on the size of the interior and how dirty it is. We are fully mobile, so we come to your home or workplace with our own water and power. If you have been searching for car upholstery cleaning near me, we cover Leeds, Harrogate, York, Sheffield, Hull, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas, so get in touch and we will confirm your postcode.

How do I know whether my car needs a shampoo?

If the seats look dull or patchy, if there are visible marks, if the car smells stale on a warm day, or if it has seen children, dogs, food or a long stretch of daily use, then a shampoo will make a noticeable difference. If you are not sure, send us a photo and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth doing.
